Conservation Lands Strategy (2024-2029)

The Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority (ABCA) Board of Directors approved its Conservation Lands Strategy on November 21, 2024. 

The Strategy provides a framework to guide management and planning across all ABCA properties and was informed by public and stakeholder feedback received in 2024.

Master Plan for Ausable River Cut Conservation Area

Thank you to everyone who provided input into the Draft Master Plan for Ausable River Cut Conservation Area.  The 35-day consultation period ended on Tuesday, March 31, 2026.

The participation in the survey to provide comments and input into the draft Master Plan for Ausable River Cut Conservation Area helped to shape the best possible plan for the future. 

Morrison Dam Conservation Area Master Plan

Thanks to everyone who provided input through the public consultation into the draft Master Plan 2026-2036 for Morrison Dam Conservation Area east of Exeter.

The consultation for the Master Plan for Morrison Dam Conservation Area 2026-2036 has now ended. 

Written comments were received, through a public consultation opportunity that began on July 16, 2026 and continued until August 24, 2026.

We would like to thank everyone who took the time to provide written comments, through our survey. 

Your input has benefitted the final document and plans for the future.

Rock Glen Conservation Area Master Plan (2026-2036)

The ABCA Board of Directors approved the update to the Rock Glen Conservation Area Master Plan on February 19, 2026. 

The Master Plan provides a framework to guide the management at Rock Glen Conservation Area and was informed by public and stakeholder feedback received in 2025.

    Decade Award honours land trusts
    Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority has presented a Decade Award to honour the work of local land trusts. The award is presented during ABCA’s 80th anniversary year (2026).
