Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority

Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority (ABCA) watersheds encompass the drainage basins of the Ausable River, Bayfield River, Parkhill Creek, and the gullies between Bayfield and Grand Bend draining directly to Lake Huron.

Koos and Nathalie Vermue win Conservation Award

Koos and Nathalie Vermue, agricultural producers from the Bayfield area, were honoured by Ausable Bayfield Conservation with the Conservationist of the Year Award at a March 21, 2019 partner appreciation evening.
This beautiful painting by former feature artist Madeleine Roske is one of the 2019 pieces to be included in this year's 30th auction event.

Reaching 30 years of Conservation Dinners is a milestone for the community. We wanted to do something special, said Co-Chair Jim Beckett. Inviting former feature artists to return for this special Dinner was an appropriate way to recognize them.

There is now a new, updated Shoreline Management Plan for the Lake Huron shoreline within the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority’s area. The Board of Directors approved the plan at the board meeting on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2019.
